I know some will turn their nose up at it, but I don't care. It's Johnnie Walker Black. It's my go-to scotch anymore.

There’s nothing wrong with some Johnnie Walker. When my sister got married, the groom bought a bottle of Johnnie Blue Label to share with the groomsmen. That stuff was pretty tasty, but it's awfully hard to justify the price difference.

These days I’m happy with a nice bottle of rye. Knob Creek makes a good one. But truthfully, I’ve kind of lost my desire to drink over the last few years. No judgement against people who drink, I just don’t like the drunk version of me, as he tends to say things that perhaps shouldn’t be said. Too many mornings waking up with a sense of dread, wondering what embarrassing thing I did the night before. Usually it’s nothing, just leftover feelings from when I was young and dumb. Plus, hangovers are s real pain.

But enough about me, this is your AMA. I guess I should ask you a question. Hmm. What's your favorite band?

Probably Dire Straits? I know I wore out a few copies of Brothers in Arms. I also love Neil Finn (he was the lead singer of Split Enz and Crowded House) and Kate Bush, and Peter Gabriel.

I remember seeing the video for “O Superman” by Laurie Anderson around the same time. And then Peter Gabriel released "So". There was so much good music coming out then.

Lots of interesting music videos came out back then. It was such a new area, the videos weren't the polished products that they were in the 90s. Peter Gabriel's "Sledgehammer" and A-ha's "Take on Me" always come to mind.
